dat would be my comments for the movie thats now showing in the theatres near you.... "The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe"
The Path that Leads
just how long have i not met Rina, let alone mentioned her in the blog... months.. i would say bout close to 2 months i think...
and today... we decided to meet again... catch up on old times.. and as usual... to do our favourites... catch a movie... i so wanted to watch King Kong.. and as for her.. she would be catching King Kong soon with her friends... so she wants to save that for much later... and for today she wants to catch Narnia...
just great!... i thought... from yesterday i wanna catch King Kong.. yesterday.. there wasnt enough time since my friend had to go to work at night... and today! again.. not being able to catch King Kong....
but what the heck... if she wants to watch it badly.. ill just go ahead... give in lah katakan... better than not watching any show at all...
i went into the theatres feeling unsure of whether i would love the movie... she said its something like lord of the rings.. something like harry potter.. that kind of genre... urgghhh... aku bukan nyer suka tgk some kids fantasy show...
no backing out.. tickets been bought.. as long as i know she'll be happy watching it.. then be it lah....
The Plot
it stories about four siblings who departed from London during WWII to take shelter at a country home of one professor... i would say its a dungeon since its huge!
so they stayed in that big house.. with nothing much to do... until they decided to play hide and seek on one particular day... Lucy, the youngest, decided to hide in a wardrobe... without realising.. the further she walked in the wardrobe... she lands herself up in the snowy land of Narnia...
after spending hours in Narnia.. and after befriending this 'creature', Mr Tumnus, she decided to go back and find her sibs....
the moment she gets out of the wardrobe.. her eldest bro had just finished counting to a hundred and was about to seek for the rest!
she finds it weird... told the sibs bout it.. but none believed her... to them its just some kids imagination...
I shall skip all the juices for you guys to catch the movie and learn what the story is all about...
basically... Narnia was ruled by an evil witch..... to defeat the Witch, the 4 sibs must join forces with Aslan, the lion God of Narnia..... and that gave birth to a great battle between good and evil.....
Memorable Dialogues
Professor Kirke: And just where have you been?
Peter Pevensie: If we told you, you wouldn't believe us.
Professor Kirke: Try me.
Fox: I'm sorry, your Majesty.
Jadis The White Witch: Shut up with the formalities!
Fox: I'm sorry, ma'am, not to offend, but I wasn't speaking to you. [looks at Edmund]
[Peter offers his hand and makes 'tch' noises, no knowing the beaver could talk]
Mr. Beaver: Well, I'm not going to SMELL it, if that's what you want.
My Comment
I saw this movie intially with not much of high hopes and full of negativity... But surprisingly, the movie proved itself otherwise... the acting was excellent and the effects.. simply marvelous... if this goes to the Oscars as a nomineee... it sure does stand a chance...
a must see.. i would really recommend... u dont like harry potter??? push that aside.. u will love this...
