e' sporean blogs: What a Cliche'?

now... now... dis is some serious shit...
ive been spending too much time on my DVD player...
day in day out... every single bit of my free time i would spend it infront of this screen... watching "FRIENDS"...
completed 3 full seasons as of now...
my family has been calling me - FRIENDS geek..
"you spend too much time on those jokers! get out! meet people from the real world!"
like i dont know as yet... i would.. rite after i finish all the 8 seasons...
now i have some serious problem... i think all those over work dat my player has been going thru' has tired 'him' out...
now 'he' is protesting!
'he' refused to open itself up for another DVD to be inserted in...
think gonna let him have a rest for now...
aniwae one question... wat is a cliche'?
got dat word from one of the episodes of FRIENDS...
its not dat ive never heard it before... but i just dont know when its appropriate to use...
checked the magical bible called the dictionary and it explains...
Cliche'
1. A trite or overused expression or idea: "Even while the phrase was degenerating to cliche' in ordinary public use... scholars were giving it increasing attention" (Anthony Brandt).
2. A person or character whose behavior is predictable or superficial: "There is a young explorer... who turns out not to be quite the cliche expected" (John Crowley).
i still dont get it... anione confident enuf to help this vocabulary deprived guy?

A cliche is something that is often used, or overly done.. something too typical.

ok a very good "mats" example of cliche is... the word "tau takpe!" If u are not a "mats" den u find the word to be such a cliche. Or saying things like "be there or be square." When u can rephrase it as "The hottest peeps will be there."
Errr... I tink it sounds cliched too! Hahaha!!!
